Dedication
Wow! This has been a long time coming.
I am so thankful to God for the gift of writing that He has so graciously given me. I dedicate this book to my beloved Ma, Joe Anner Alvoid, who pushed me from the time I was a child to never give up. Because of you, I understand that delayed does not mean denied.
To my siblings, Meshawii and Floyd—you both have taught me so many valuable lessons. As the middle child of three, I learned how to endure and never stop trying.
To my daughters, Sharee (Re/Ama) and Alyah (Bae/Leah)—thank you for the honor of being your momma. You have each taught me so much on this journey of motherhood. I’ve grown in countless ways and on many different levels, and you continue to shape me even now as adults. For this, I say thank you.
To my bonus mother, Zerita Sharp—our paths crossed at the perfect time. In the midst of tragedy, you came, you saw, and you believed in me when I questioned everything. Thank you.
Sean and Eboni Worsley—thank you for your constant encouragement and support throughout this project.
To Archbishop Michael A. West (Papa Bishop)—thank you for the foundational teachings that stirred me to seek more of God for myself. Much love to you Lady Martha.
To my spiritual parents, Apostle Lawarence R. Cole and Sr. Pastor Lady Almay Cole—thank you for stretching me in ways I didn’t know were possible. You pushed (and at times pulled) me to walk in purpose. I am excited to do ministry with you and City of Our God, and even more excited to see all that God is preparing for us—individually and collectively.
To every spiritual leader and friend I’ve been blessed to have in my life—thank you for your deposits into me.
To my wonderful illustrator, Rowen Agarao (junglefriend.rowen@gmail.com)—may God continue to bless and increase you in everything you do. Mr. Harold J. Scott, you were indeed God sent into my life. Thank you for your friendship, collaboration, encouragement and your prayers in concluding this project. Last, but certainly not least, thank you to my friend and brother, Bishop James A. Howard. Since we met in college, you have been a man of integrity and your word. That means more than you know. I truly appreciate your support and guidance in helping me release these books.
To every child (or anyone) who reads my books, I pray you are encouraged and inspired to believe in YOU!
Remember:
YOU CAN DO IT.
BE WHO GOD CREATED YOU TO BE.
YOU ARE DESTINED FOR GREATNESS!
